DCDEE is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Applications for “Specialized Birth-3 Technical Assistance Program”.
This Request for Applications (RFA) is designed to strengthen North Carolina's infant-toddler workforce and broaden NC QRIS implementation utilizing the three pathways to quality to include: Program Assessment, Classroom Instructional Quality, and Accreditation and Head Start. The goal is to expand access to high-quality infant and toddler care throughout NC by equipping infant-toddler educators with comprehensive support in foundational practices for family and community engagement, continuous quality improvement, curriculum development, and achieving accreditation and Head Start standards. DCDEE seeks to improve outcomes for our youngest children and reinforce the modernized standards of NC QRIS.
One award of up to $2,550,000 per year will be made under this RFA to provide services set forth in the Scope of Services. Eligibility for the renewal is contingent upon contract compliance, project performance, and availability of funding. DCDEE will determine the actual funding amount based on the proposed execution of the project and the utilization of funds as outlined in the successful applicant’s proposal, pending funding availability.
