Child Care Provider Search

One of the most important decisions you will ever make as a parent is choosing quality child care for your child. Every child is special and unique, and deserves the best start possible. Studies reveal that a high quality child care program will better prepare children for school, increasing their chances for success.

The Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG), also called the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), is a federal grant which provides funding for child care subsidies for low income working families and improvements in child care quality. In order to meet the requirements of this grant states must have both pre-service or orientation and on-going minimum health and safety training requirements in place for child care providers.

North Carolina is impacted by a significant storm with potential for effects on the entire state.  It is important that all child care providers keep themselves and others around them, including the children in care, safe. Please remember to follow your current Emergency Plan.  Division staff and Child Care Consultants are actively assessing our child care community to determine what damages exist and to offer assistance with locating temporary child care arrangements, wherever necessary.
