Studies reveal that a high quality child care program will help children become be better prepared for school which increases their chances to succeed. 

North Carolina Criminal Background Check for Child Care Workers

The North Carolina Child Care Law (General Statute 110-90.2) requires a criminal background check (CBC) be conducted and a determination of fitness be made on all persons who work or provide child care in a licensed or regulated child care facility.

 

A Message to Child Care Providers

North Carolina has experienced a significant storm that has impacted the entire state.  It is important that all child care providers keep themselves and others around them, including the children in care, safe. Please remember to follow your current Emergency Plan.  Division staff and Child Care Consultants are actively assessing our child care community to determine what damages have occurred and to offer assistance with locating temporary child care arrangements, wherever necessary.
