North Carolina Early Childhood Family Leadership Conference

It starts with Us! -– ¡Comienza con nosotras/os/es!

Come to the NC Early Childhood Family Leadership Conference 3/11/23

The North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education invites you to attend the 2nd Annual North Carolina Early Childhood Family Leadership Conference taking place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 9:00AM – 1:30PM EST via Zoom Events.

Join us once again in important conversations on how parent/family leaders can work together to co-lead and bring change to an early childhood system in North Carolina that puts families first.

The conference theme is “It Starts With Us: Leading Communities Of Change” and it will feature presentations led by advocates, change-makers, parent leaders, partners, and early-childhood advocates.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to participate in family-friendly sessions and cafes to build community with other parents and families.

Dr. MariRosa Rangel will be this year’s keynote speaker.  Dr. Rangel has received numerous awards for her work with North Carolina families.  She has worked with school districts, children and families throughout her 25-year career in North Carolina and currently services as Director for Community Engagement in the Office of Equity Affairs at Wake County Public School District.

Spanish Interpretation will be available at all conference sessions.

COMIENZA CON NOSOTRAS/OS/ES: LIDERANDO COMUNIDADES DE CAMBIO 

La División de Desarrollo Infantil y Educación Temprana del NCDHHS gustaría invitarlas/los/les a asistir la segunda conferencia de North Carolina Early Childhood Family Leadership ocurriendo el Sábado, 11 de Marzo, 2023 de 9:00AM – 1:30PM EST en Zoom Events. 

Esta conferencia - una vez más - contribuirá a la conversación colectiva que continúa construyendo un sistema enfocado en familias y concentrado en equidad de infancia (de 0-5 años de edad) en North Carolina. La conferencia incluirá presentaciones de padres/madres de familia que son líderes en sus comunidades, administradores y trabajadores de sistemas gubernativos y no-gubernamentales. También, asistentes tendrán la oportunidad de participar en parent-cafés, actividades virtuales con la familia, y sostener comunidad con otras familias alrededor del estado. 

Dr. MariRosa Rangel (conferenciarista principal) dará un discurso analizando las diferentes maneras que madres/padres y familias pueden construir comunidades de apoyo y resistencia. Dr. Ragel ha recibido muchos premios por su trabajo con las familias en North Carolina, incluyendo el premio de “Orgullo de Nuestra Comunidad” de Univision 40, en reconocimiento por su trabajo con la comunidad Latina de North Carolina.
