Preschool Development Grant Award

In November 2018, DCDEE submitted an application to the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care, for a Preschool Development Grant (PDG) for activities to strengthen North Carolina’s early childhood education system.  The grant will fund a comprehensive statewide needs assessment and planning process for the state’s early learning system, support family outreach and engagement efforts, and provide infant-toddler teachers with training and resources.

Revised Subsidized Child Care Rules Training Available Online

Log in now to learn about implementation of the revised subsidized child care rules

The Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) is excited to share that training for implementation of subsidized child care rules is now available. This training provides online modules that review changes to Rules 10A NCAC 10 .0309, 10 .0313, and 10 .0602, that went into effect November 2018. The online training modules will assist subsidized child care providers and partners in understanding the current rules. Online training is available to all subsidized child care providers, child care staff, and partners free of charge. The training modules can be accessed through Moodle, the Division's online training tool.

New Subsidized Child Care Rules Training available in Moodle

The Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) is excited to share that the Subsidized Child Care Rules training is now ready to view. This training provides several online modules reviewing the November 2018 Subsidized child care rule changes. The rules that went into effect November 2018 include 3 revised rules, 10.0309, 10.0313, and 10.0602. In view of these changes, DCDEE has created online training modules to share information about the rules in a clear and consistent manner.
