Stabilization Grant Update and Recertification Due April 10!

The Quarterly Update for Quarter 6: January-March 2023 is now open and will close April 10th at 4:59 PM.

The Recertification Application for Quarters 7 and 8 is also now open and will close April 10th at 4:59 PM

To continue receiving stabilization funding, child care programs must complete both the Quarterly Update AND the Recertification Application.

All recipients of Quarter 6: January-March 2023 funds must submit a Quarterly Update by the April 10th deadline. After submitting the Q6 Quarterly Update, grant recipient programs will be able to complete the Recertification Application. All current grant recipients must submit an approved Recertification Application by the April 10th deadline to continue receiving stabilization grant funds.

Stabilization Grant Changes

Fixed Cost Grants have ended. Optional Compensation Support Grants are continuing. Beginning with the Quarter 7: April-June 2023 payment, child care facilities MUST opt for one of the two compensation support options to continue receiving stabilization funds (Option 1: Bonuses Only OR Option 2: Increase Base Pay a/o Benefits) on the Recertification Application. These funds can only be used to support compensation.

  • Active Stabilization Grant recipients that didn’t opt for any Compensation Support Grants before can apply on the Recertification Application.
  • Active Stabilization Grant recipients that previously opted for Option 1: Bonuses Only can choose Option 1 again, or opt for Option 2: Increase Base Pay a/o Benefits on the Recertification Application.
  • Active Stabilization Grant recipients that previously opted for Option 2: Increase Base Pay a/o Benefits cannot opt out or change to Option 1. (Terms and conditions prohibit reducing staff pay during the Stabilization Grant Program.)
  • New first-time Applications are still being accepted. Child Care Facilities completing an initial grant application for the first time must apply for Compensation Supports to receive grant funding.

How much will each facility get?

Option 1: Bonuses Only Grant Amount Per Quarter

  • $600 per full time staff
  • $300 per part time staff
  • + 12% for administrative costs

Option 2: Increase Base Pay and/or Benefits Grant Amount Per Quarter

  • 1 & 2 Star – Teaching Staff – $650/FT , $325/PT
  • 3 Star – Teaching Staff – $780/FT, $390/PT
  • 4 and 5 Star –Teaching Staff – $1560/FT, $780/PT
  • Non-Teaching Staff – $650/FT, $325/PT
