Child Care Commission Meeting

The NC Child Care Commission will hold its Special Rules Meeting on September 26, 2016. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will be held at the Dix Grill, Employee Center, 1101 Cafeteria Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603. Please see the directions and map to the Dix Grill Employee center.

2016 Curriculum and Formative Assessment Review Process

The Division is now accepting curriculum and formative assessments for a review process which will be held November 14-17. Over 50 publishers have received an announcement by mail. If you want a curriculum or formative assessment reviewed, please submit to the DCDEE Webmaster the name of the curriculum and/or formative assessment, the copyright date and contact information for the publisher. NC Child Care Commission Meeting

The North Carolina Child Care Commission will meet by telephone to adopt temporary rules necessary to implement the safety requirements of the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act of 2014. The meeting will be held on Monday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Division of Child Development and Early Education, 820 South Boylan Avenue, Conference Room 130, Raleigh, NC. Please read this agenda and the proposed temporary rules for more information.

NC Social Services Commission Meeting and Public Hearing for Temporary Rules-September 14, 2016

10A NCAC 10 .0602 and .0702

At its August 10th meeting the NC Social Services Commission adopted emergency rules in order to come into compliance with the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 2014. In accordance to G.S. 150B-21.1A when an agency adopts emergency rules it must also begin the process for temporary rulemaking at the same time. The Commission will hold a public hearing on these proposed temporary rules on September 14 at the Division of Social Services, 820 South Boylan Avenue, Room 151, Raleigh, NC. The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. Please view the attached agenda and memo regarding the rules for further information.
